Israeli military says it hit dozens of military facilities in Tehran

The Israeli Air Force struck dozens of military facilities in Iran's capital Tehran, the Israeli military said on Wednesday.

"Overnight, the Israeli Air Force, acting on intelligence, completed a broad wave of strikes against dozens of military infrastructure sites of the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted on Telegram.

"The IDF further degraded the regime's production industries, striking approximately 15 weapons manufacturing sites, including a central complex of the Iranian Ministry of Defense," it posted. The Defence Ministry complex had facilities producing missiles intended for use against aircraft and remotely piloted aircraft, it said.

It said air defence systems, launch ramps and missile production and storage facilities were also attacked.

In the past two days alone, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on around 400 targets belonging to the "Iranian terrorist regime," it said.

The war launched by Israel and the US is now in its fifth week.

Hezbollah continues firing rockets at Israel

Israel also reported attacks on its own territory. The military said two rockets fired by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia from Lebanon hit uninhabited areas.

The rockets triggered sirens across the entire centre of the country while Israelis were celebrating Passover, the Times of Israel reported.

There were initially no reports of injuries.

After the Iran war began just over a month ago, the Lebanese Hezbollah militia also resumed its attacks on Israel. Israel responded with heavy airstrikes and ground operations in its northern neighbour.

Iran also attacked Israel again. Citing the army, the Times of Israel reported that this was the largest Iranian missile attack on Israel since the start of the war. About 10 ballistic missiles were fired at central Israel.
